Paiter Coffee

Our foundation traveled to the Amazon rainforest in Rondônia, Brazil, and purchased this extraordinary coffee directly from Chief Rafael Mopimop Suruí of the Paiter Suruí people. Grown on the Sete de Setembro Indigenous land, this Fine Robusta (Conilon variety) earned a perfect score of 100 in an international quality evaluation in October 2025 — the highest-rated coffee in the history of the Tribos project and the first canephora coffee ever to achieve sensory perfection.

We are now bringing this coffee to the United States to share not only a world-class product, but a story of Indigenous leadership, sustainable agroforestry, and Amazon preservation.

Living Traditions

Culture & Identity

The Paiter Suruí maintain a vibrant living culture that encompasses language, ceremony, governance, and a deep spiritual relationship with the forest. These traditions are not relics of the past — they are the foundation of the community's present and future.

Their name, Paiter, meaning “the true people,” reflects a profound sense of identity rooted in place. The forest provides not just food and medicine, but meaning.

This section will continue to grow as our partnership deepens and as the community shares what they wish the world to know about their culture, language, and traditions.

The forest provides food, medicine, meaning, and spiritual connection.
